What to Expect From Your Boudoir Experience

Booking a boudoir session is exciting.

It's also vulnerable.

If your first thought is, "I've never done anything like this before," you're in good company. Almost every woman who walks through my doors says the same thing.

Here's what I want you to know before anything else:

You don't have to know what you're doing.

You don't have to be confident.

You don't have to know how to pose.

You don't even have to know exactly why you're here yet.

You only have to arrive.

We'll take it from there.

 

1. Let's Get to Know Each Other 

This isn't about planning the perfect photoshoot.

It's about getting to know you.

We'll talk through your vision, your comfort level, your ideas, your nerves, and everything in between. Whether you're dreaming of something soft and romantic, bold and artistic, or completely outside the box, we'll build an experience that feels like an extension of who you already are—not who you think you're supposed to be.

 

2. Preparing Together 

You'll never be left wondering what comes next.

From outfit guidance to preparing for your session, I'll walk you through everything so you can spend less time worrying and more time looking forward to the experience.

No guessing.

No pressure.

No trying to figure it all out alone.

 

3. Arrive Exactly As You Are 

When you walk into my Copperhill studio, my hope is that the outside world stays outside.

The expectations.

The comparisons.

The pressure to get everything "right."

The music is on.

We'll laugh.

We might cry.

I'll guide you through every pose, every movement, and every tiny detail, so you never have to wonder what to do next.

My job isn't to create a different version of you.

It's to create enough safety that you stop performing long enough for the real you to show up.

That's where the magic lives.

 

4. Seeing Yourself 

This is my favorite part.

Not because you finally see beautiful photographs.

Because I get to watch you see yourself.

Sometimes it's laughter.

Sometimes it's tears.

Sometimes it's complete silence.

Whatever your reaction, it belongs here.

 

5. Taking Yourself Home 

You'll leave with beautiful photographs.

I hope you leave with something even more lasting.

A reminder that your worth was never waiting on the other side of confidence.

This isn't just a photoshoot.

It's a space where women remember they never needed permission to be themselves in the first place.

Somewhere along the way, women were taught that existing comes with conditions. Lose the weight. Be prettier. Be quieter. Work harder. Wait until you're confident. Wait until you're worthy.

I don't know who made those rules, but I know they don't belong here.

IR Photography Studios was built to be a place where you can lay all of that down for a little while. Where you don't have to earn your place, apologize for taking up space, or become someone different before you deserve to be seen.

I've learned that confidence isn't something you find. It's something that naturally grows when you stop abandoning yourself for everyone else's expectations. My job isn't to convince you you're beautiful. It's to create a space where you can see yourself without all the noise.

That's why I do this. The photographs are simply the proof that, for one afternoon, you remembered who you were before the world told you who you should be.
